This morning Equinox Advisory Ltd. announced that it shall be supporting the Summit of iGaming in Malta, SiGMA, an event planned to be held between October 31st and November 1st, 2014.

The summit has the potential to become one of the biggest, dedicated remote iGaming exhibitions and conferences for affiliates, operators and suppliers of the industry, with an estimated 2,500+ attendees, 60+ top-level speakers and over 70 stands to be featured throughout the two-day event.

Equinox Advisory Ltd. confirmed that it will be contributing to the Summit by having its CEO, Bernard Mallia, moderate the C-Level strand of discussions on day 1.

The speaker lineup on this day will include, among others, the Malta Government Minister for the Economy, the Hon. Dr. Christian Cardona; the Malta Government Parliamentary Secretary for Competitiveness, the Hon. Dr. Jose Herrera; the chairman of the Malta Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA), Mr. Joseph Cuschieri; Betsson CEO Mr. Ulrik Bengtsson; Guts Managing Director, Robin Reed; Yobetit CEO, Nikolai Livori; Responsible Gaming Foundation Chairman, the Hon. Silvio Schembri; BetIt Group CEO, Joakim Stockman; Simon Planzer of Planzer Law; and Nick Nocton of Jeffrey Green Russell Law.

The event will be taking place in Malta, a jurisdiction that has become synonymous with the gaming industry and which already enjoys a solid reputation of excellence in the field. Malta is, in fact, the host to over 250 iGaming companies, and over 450 license holders. Malta’s iGaming industry employs a workforce of over 8,000 employees. Malta’s taxation system, compliant with all the pertinent EU directives, as well as its ideal climate and unrivalled quality of life, have contributed further to the country’s attractiveness to this industry.

Announcing his support of the event, Bernard Mallia said that, “we believe that Malta offers the right avenue for this summit to take place not only because of its welcoming physical and investment climates, but also because the iGaming industry is now mature enough to be able to benefit greatly from the networking and knowledge transfer opportunities that this sort of event affords to attendees. On behalf of Equinox Advisory, I am as pleased as I am honoured to have been offered this opportunity to moderate the first day of such an interesting event, which I humbly accept. I look forward to a most-interesting and prolific start to the Summit and will make my utmost to moderate the discussions in such a way as to ensure that they are both interesting and enlightening”.
